GarlicPosted on 1/20/08
Garlic is great all around, fresh, powdered, as a herbal supplement or however you want to ingest your daily dose of garlic. Of course the best way is fresh, but who has the time? I get mine as odorless pill form. The odorless garlic I use has 500mg's. The Allium Sativum is the main thing to look at when chosing a garlic supplement. Allium Sativum promotes heart and cardiovascular health and helps maintain cholesterol levels. Anyways with the odorless you are less likely to experience any unpleasant taste or belching.
Besides the things I mentioned aboved it is believed that those who use garlic (uncooked) regularly can reduce thier risk of cancer.
The reason I started taking garlic is that garlic has power to fight infections. It can be applied directly to skin or ingested, I tried them both. Using garlic directly on the skin even as the odorless form still stinks, but it works. Garlic can be used for different sorts of infections, rashes, yeast infections ect.. I have been taking it internally for awhile now. Usually during the winter months I get nasty sinus infections and bad coughs, but not this winter! Thanks to Garlic!
